Haul: Better World Books

9:00:00 AM

Whenever I get the urge to purchase new books, my first thought also goes to Better World Books. Like with records, I can never justify buying something at full price. I also figure that there is someone who reads a book and lets go of it so someone else might enjoy it. And there is something lovely about handling a book you knew were in hands of people who read it once too. Yeah I can hear you now say "well if they loved it so much, why did they get rid of it?" I don't really think of it that way. I think of it as loving something so much, you'd rather share it with others.

Now, I'm not sponsored by Better World Books, I'm simply an avid fan of what they do. For every book you buy, they will supply a book to someone might not have the access to books like we do in the United States. So its a book for a book. like in their name, they're creating a better world with books. Receiving books in the mail always feels like Christmas. and by buying them from Better World Books, I always feel so much better that I know someone somewhere around the world will also feel that way.

As of recently, I've been on a YA fantasy kick. Maybe its because they're fast reads and I'm trying to reach my reading challenge on good reads or because the covers are always so beautiful. Yes sometimes I will buy a book based on its cover. But can you blame me? I've also being reading a lot of classic literature. So its a bit of a mixed genre haul.

Books I Bought:
Hush, hush and Crescendo by Bella Fitzgerald
Beautiful Creatures and Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Shiver trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
The Watchers by Jon Steele
The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters
Sacred by Elena Arnold
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
